JB Interior Design, Inc. has practiced sustainable interior design since 2003. Our commitment to evidence-based design solutions distinguishes JB Interior Design as the industry leader in southern Arizona. Through extensive research and communication with industry partners, we diligently evaluate the impact that interior finish materials and resources have on the built environment and the end user. We are constantly exploring new coatings, materials and resources for use in high performance buildings.

JULIANN BERENS, LEED AP, Owner, Principal

Juliann started her professional career as a registered nurse, gaining extensive knowledge of disease processes and healing environments.  Overseeing eleven sub-specialty clinics gave her the opportunity to hone her leadership qualities and management skills.  This medical background fostered an understanding of the functional needs and demands of healthcare facilities, and how the built environment impacts a patient’s health and healing.  After obtaining a second degree in interior design, Juliann founded JB Interior Design, Inc. in 1999.  As a registered Interior Designer and LEED Accredited Professional, she and her staff have designed sustainable interiors for healthcare facilities, schools, corporate offices and private residences.

KATIE KOLAKOSKI, LEED AP, Project Interior Designer

Katie joined JB Interior Design, Inc. with previous experience in project management and wayfinding for commercial, healthcare, government and university facilities.  With a background in 3d modeling and graphic design, she provides 3d simulations and digital mock-ups prior to the construction document phase, helping clients visualize designs during the approval process.  Her artistic abilities, technical knowledge and passion for sustainable design make Katie an excellent member of the team.

Whitney Tribulak, Project Interior Designer

Whitney joined JB Interior Design, Inc. in June 2007 as an interior design intern and has been a member of our staff ever since. With a background in Auto CAD and Sketch Up, she produces everything from preliminary space plans through complete construction documents. Her technical skills and passion for universal and sustainable design make Whitney an excellent addition to the team.
